Summer may well be over, but we’re staying in the spirit with this lovely leisure sector project. Blue skies serve as the perfect backdrop to this contemporary new Holiday Inn Express@Salford. Showcasing a contemporary palette of ‘Starlight’ and ‘Cool Medium Grey’ Max Exterior rainscreen cladding panels, complemented by distinctive modernist tinted glazing, this vibrant hotel projects exactly the right image.

Working alongside key client: The Peel Group; KKA Architects; Partner - Omnis Exterior Facades St. Helens; Contractor - Bowmer & Kirkland, and Sub-Contractor - Churchmore, this striking hotel is yet another example of just how smoothly and quickly a project can progress when everyone is focused on delivery. It also serves to highlight the advantages of modular construction. ‘The HolidayInn Express was a real coup for FunderMax as it was coveted by almost every other rainscreen cladding manufacturer.

With a pallet of 115 décors we were pleased when the client and main contractor picked two of our freshest and modern choices - Starlight White and Cool Medium Grey. This stylish Holiday Inn Express® Salford, close to Manchester’s bustling city centre, is a six storey 203 bedroom hotel featuring guest parking, contemporary landscaping and easy access. The ground floor will boast dedicated zones - inviting spaces to ensure visitors enjoy a relaxed and pleasant stay: welcome zone, hub, living zone, gathering zone, work zone, breakfast area, and three meeting rooms with associated breakout space, public toilets and administration/back of house/staff facilities.

The upper floors (Levels 1-5) will also feature a fitness suite, laundry/housekeeping areas and a plant room. Car parking, secure motorcycle parking and a covered external storage area including substation will also be included within the development.
